Surgical Hammertoe Correction, flexor tendon release, single toe $400

Surgical repair of flexible and contracted hammer toe, single toe, with release of long flexor tendon.

This procedure is intended to relax flexible hammertoe deformity in patients with symptoms related to contracted toes that have not responded to conservative care.  Usually accomplished under local anesthetic, this short procedure involves making an incision on one side of the toe, surgical release of the long flexor tendon and suture closure of the small wound.  This is a weightbearing procedure and most patients walk away in a post-op shoe.
