Ty Tippets is the Administrator & CEO of the St. George Surgical Center, a physician-owned, independent, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgical Center that has been serving the healthcare needs of Southern Utah for 30 years. 

In the summer of 2013, Tippets helped lead the charge as St. George Surgical became one of the nation’s first innovative Healthcare facilities championing surgical Price Transparency; this was implemented by posting over 220 outpatient procedures online (www.sgsc.net), and bundling Facility Fees, Surgeon Fees, Anesthesia, and any Implants into one low, transparent price, while delivering the highest value in patient outcomes and satisfaction.  Currently, individuals from 38 States and Canadian Provinces have trekked to Southern Utah to experience one of the best Healthcare values in the Nation, safely saving patients 60 to 90 percent on surgery over comparable procedures performed in a hospital.

Prior to his work in Health Care, Tippets was the Executive Director of a Non-Profit Community Housing Development Organization, creating and developing high quality affordable housing for the people of Southern Utah, Southern Nevada and Northern Arizona, with housing developments that earned State and National Awards.  Ty is a Utah licensed General Contractor, and the owner of Amada Senior Care of Southern Utah, which provides in-home, non-medical services to the Elderly and Disabled.

Tippets holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Business and Psychology from Southern Utah University, and an M.B.A. from Oregon State University; he subsequently completed an Executive Education program in Leadership & Community Development from Harvard University’s JFK School of Government. 

His greatest pride lies in his six children, five daughters and a son, and four beautiful grandkids, arising from 31 years of marriage with his wonderful wife.
