James Martin

J.R. Martin, MMS, PA-C, Founder: Alive & Well and Big Stuff HealthShare

J.R.’s inspiration is the example of his father, Dr. Jerry R. Martin, M.D., who lovingly toted his medical bag around the rural community of American Fork, Utah, delivering babies, performing surgeries in the hospital, and treating patients in his clinic. J.R. earned two masters degrees in Health Promotion and Medical Science at Brigham Young University and Midwestern University. He has a wide variety of professional healthcare experience, including pediatrics, family practice, orthopedic surgery and the emergency department. He’s always ready with a joke or song on his accordion. He believes humor is one of the best medicines. J.R. and his wife have four beautiful daughters.
