Dr. Smith was born and raised in rural Oklahoma near Newkirk as part of a farming and ranching family. She attended Oklahoma State graduating with a physiology degree with honors. She went on to complete medical school at the University of Oklahoma and earned entrance into the honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha. She then proceeded to residency training in family medicine at OU-Tulsa followed by OB fellowship training. She began her private practice career in 2007 joining Stillwater Family Care where she worked with her partners through 2020. Realizing that layers of bureaucracy within governmental and private healthcare were contributing to both patient and physician harm, Dr. Smith founded Pioneer Health DPC to offer quality care to the community of Stillwater, OK and the surrounding areas. Dr. Smith is proud to offer her services at a transparent, affordable price partnering directly with patients without the interference of insurance or third party payers.
